Who is Wondergy?

Wondergy is a science education and training company made from a diverse team of scientists turned educators. Our team brings together graduate and undergraduate backgrounds in: education, chemistry, physics, bioengineering, computer science, marketing management, and theater. Our founder and president, Ken Fink, is a former DoD researcher at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C., whose publications have been cited 104 times to date. He has a B.A. in Physics from Columbia, a Masters in Education from Drexel University, and a post-baccalaureate certificate in Marketing Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Our second-in-command, Charles Bowman, has a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Michigan, a Masters in Chemistry from Drexel University, and a Ph.D. (ABD) in Chemical Education, also from Drexel University. This unique combination of educational backgrounds allows Wondergy to produce effective training programs and other educational content that make learning meaningful, experiential, multi-sensory, and fun.

What does Wondergy do?

Wondergy develops and delivers interactive science educational programs for professional training, schools, and public outreach, and has done so for over 7 years with a strong track record of customer and participant satisfaction. In addition to schools, conference rooms, and offices, we strive to put education in unexpected places, including Major League Baseball games, skateboarding demonstrations, community festivals, and more. Our clients have included Lockheed Martin, Motorola, Phi Theta Kappa, America's Video Game Expo, Curtis Analytic Partners, and the Philadelphia Phillies.

When you select Wondergy for your professional training and outreach services, you get the most effective, customized product that makes learning meaningful, experiential, multi-sensory, hands-on, and fun. We start by learning about our clients' needs, then draw on our past experience and diverse technical knowledge, and assemble a customized product that truly gets the message across.

Why choose Wondergy?

We're educators first: At the end of the day, this is what matters most. Our pedigree as educators means that we'll produce the best, most meaningful training programs and educational products possible. At times we are keynote speakers, guest lecturers, professional trainers, or government contractors. However, we are always devoted educators, wherever we are.

We're different: Our philosophy is unique in the educational and training communities. We believe that people are intrinsically curious. Using that curiosity, Wondergy creates a fun, safe opportunity to explore and satisfy that curiosity. Curious learners become interested learners, adding new reasons to interact with and absorb the material presented.

We have diverse technical knowledge: Our current staff boasts a wide range of degrees including chemistry, physics, and bioengineering, computer science, education, marketing management, and theater. Located next to two top universities (University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University), we can always draw more top talent to supplement our knowledge when the need arises.

We educate in diverse places: In addition to traditional educational venues, how many companies can claim that they have educated guests at sporting events, community festivals, trade shows, and conferences? We have worked with many special needs groups, including those in the autistic spectrum, and schools which serve students with behavioral special needs (often related to trauma). Our vast experience educating in diverse environments means our methods are more adaptable and our staff more experienced than most educational firms.

We are a small business: As a small business, we're agile and adaptable; we work with our clients to give them the most relevant, customized program possible. When your needs change, we can change our work to match your needs very quickly, allowing for more relevant and effective education.

We have a history of giving back to the community: We believe that everyone should have access to quality education. To help with that goal, all of our staff are trained by delivering programs to underprivileged groups and we frequently partner with other community groups in the area to deliver programs to local schools and communities.
