Program Fees
Small Party Program (1–25 scientists): $325
Institutional Program (25–75 scientists): $400
Large Assembly Program (75–500 scientists): $500

Each time we start the same program following consecutively on the same day in the same location.
Something Completely Different Discount: $100 off
Save money by inviting us to present multiple topics on the same day in the same location. Since we're already at your site, we can discount each new setup (simultaneous programs or different topics) by $100. Even better, consecutive repetitions are priced as repeat programs.
SO MANY PROGRAMS
To make sure your programs are ALL the best, we will often bring extra staff or make arrangements for breaks or lodging nearby to be sure we are healthy and excited about each and every program.

Have A Science Day:
For informal walk-up events like festivals and fairs, each hour is priced as if it were a program.

Our presenters are awesome! They're so awesome that many future clients request the scientist they saw. If you saw a particular scientist, and want to have them at your event, let us know. We ask a $50 surcharge to reserve a particular scientist, subject to their availability (and good health on the day of your event).
Travel and parking
We travel from our workshop at 3624 Market Street, Philladelphia, PA 19104. Many events are within a 30 minute drive from our office, and the cost of that travel is included in our prices. Beyond that, we use Google Maps to estimate our travel time and cost. Beyond the first hour of driving, we charge one dollar per estimated minute of driving round-trip. This includes gas, tolls and time, but does not include parking or special charges. To estimate your travel fee, enter the location of your event in the box below, and subtract an hour from the total time at the top. While you're there, have a look at the directions, and please let us know if we should take a different route.
We always try to reach to your event early (30-60 minutes, depending on your program(s)) so there is plenty of time to see your site and set up. Rush hour makes this more difficult; If your event start requires us to be on our way before 9:30AM, between 4:30pm and 7pm, and at all times in New York City, please add $50.
We are careful to schedule plenty of time between events, so we can take time to answer your guests' questions and still have time to reach our next appointment. Nearby Philadelphia, parties usually start at 11 (putting lunch around noon) or 3pm / 4pm (putting dinner around 4pm / 5pm). Mid-day parties usually block us from scheduling a second client on that day. If you need us to start a party between 11:30pm and 3pm on Saturday or Sunday, please add $100. If we happen to already have an evening booking, we may be able to accommodate a mid-day party without this charge.
We bring a lot of cool stuff. That means we need to carry it to wherever your program will be. When we arrive, please show us where to park to unload most effectively. Please let us know if we'll need to carry equipment up or down stairs. Institutions: please have a wheeled cart available(multi-level carts, like book carts or cafeteria carts, are best) and path to wheel it to your site. We can re-park once we have unloaded, but please provide a space nearby where the vehicle can be left safely. If a safe parking space cannot be provided to us without cost, we ask a fee of $50 ($100 in New York City or in special cases) to make other arrangements.
A great way to reduce your distance fees is to schedule multiple presentations for your organization or nearby organizations. Share us with others!
Payment Policies
- A non-refundable deposit is due in order to maintain your reservation.
- We are happy to accept credit cards for deposits with no additional cost. Simply visit our contact page.
- Please pay the remaining balance by the date of the program, or in person when we arrive. Full payment of this invoice is due by the date of the first event. In all events, all late payments are subject to: a 5% administrative fee, 18%; per annum interest (from the date the payment was due until the date paid), and any attorneys fees and costs of collection.
- If you prefer to pay your balance by credit card, please let us know, and we will add a 3.5% convenience charge.
