Hammer a nail into solid wood with a banana? Blow up a balloon... from the outside? Explore how matter changes from solid to liquid to gas with liquid nitrogen. At 320 degrees below zero, it's the coolest stuff around!
COOLSCIENCE has many options to best suit your event. Having a Bar Mitzvah, Havdallah, Scout crossing over, or other change of state? This program can be tailored to relate the meaning of the event to what's physically happening in our program. Things really can change but remain the same; scientists call them physical changes.
Topics: Molecules, Thermal Motion, Heat Transfer, Evaporative Cooling, Air Pressure, Density, Physical Changes.

Project: Ice Cream
Help us bring together fresh cream, milk, flavorings of your choice, and of course, liquid nitrogen to make the freshest homemade ice cream you've ever tasted.
Variation: Freezing Hot Cotton Candy
While Nitrogen may boil at 320F below zero, sugar's bonds are so strong that it freezes around 300F above zero! A family festival favorite, enjoy "freezing hot" cotton candy with your "boiling cold" ice cream.
Variation: Fire & Ice
For a decadent contrast to CoolScience, explore chemical changes with edible fire! Enjoy a dazzling sweet flambe atop homemade ice cream specially made to balance on the palate.
Variation: Density
Make bowling balls float and helium balloons sink, and discover what keeps the air up.
Available CoolScience Party Favors (Call for Pricing):
Freezing Hot Hand Warmers - great for fall and winter events. Neck Coolers - Keep cool on a hot day. These neck-ties do the sweating for you!
Have some of your guests already seen CoolScience? Then let's take it a step further. Just because our nitrogen disappeared doesn't mean it can't be strong stuff. We'll make bowling balls float, helium baloons sink, shrink guests' heads (sort-of), light our hands on fire, and play with density and air pressure!
Note: Everything can be Kosher, non-dairy or vegan on request. We usually avoid peanuts, and we haven't met an allergy we can't accommodate.
